The announcements keep coming. We are getting great support from the entire Hamilton community. Even the mayor has sent a Wecome to Hamilton letter and we're hoping his Honour, Bob Bratina, will be there on Saturday morning for a quick casting lesson. Tourism Hamilton will be featuring the Forum on their events program and both 820 CHAM and Oldies 1150 radio will be sponsor of the Forum (click on the logos to the right for the websites). We're delighted to be working with the entire community to help promote the Forum and the City of Hamilton.
Our poster will be going up in and around Hamilton as well as all over southern Ontario (and elsewhere). The poster features the work of fly fishing enthusiast and award winning artist Al Hassall of Trillium Studios in Arthur, Ontario, not far from Hamilton. Click on the image to can get a closer look at the watercolour Al has provided and a link to his website.
Yet another big announcement involves a native son of Hamilton. We are delighted to announce that our special guest speaker at the annual Conservation Banquet will be globe-trotting fly angler Stephen Brunt. Brunt has been head sports columnist for the Globe and Mail newspaper, is an award winning author and is now the cohost of the FAN 590 afternoon sportscast with Bob McCown and has many other duties and responsibilities at Roger's Sportsnet. Check out the Forum Banquet page for more details.
And one more great reason to attend the 2012 Forum has just been announced. Now, everyone who attends the 2012 Forum will get a 1 year subscription to The New Fly Fisher E-zine FREE (a $9.99 value!) courtesy of The New Fly Fisher television show!
Did we mention that Nickel Brook Brewing, one of Ontario`s most respected craft brewers, will be the official beer of the 2012 Forum? Try a sample at the tasting counter or enjoy one of their highly prized products at the Café (please enjoy responsibly).
